Every gambler dreams of hitting a big jackpot when they visit a land casino. One man from California recently made a great choice when he sat down at a pai gow poker table.

Claude Dickerson and his wife decided to visit the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in California just a few days ago for a nice dinner at the POM restaurant. The couple decided to kill time in the casino before dinner and Claude sat down at the Fortune Pai Gow poker table which is connected to a progressive jackpot.

Claude started out playing with $100 and then doubled it to $200. All the while he was making sure he was placing the side bet for the progressive. It took about thirty minutes and Claude was dealt a straight flush! With a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of hearts, Claude knew he had a great hand. However he did not know that it was a hand that would win the progressive jackpot!

Claude commented: “I wasn’t sure whether the straight flush would have to be a royal straight flush.” However no royal is needed in this game and Claude ended up winning $163,425.82 with the hand. The couple is planning on using some of the money to spend on a trip to Antigua, which is a trip the couple won at the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational which took place at the Fantasy Springs just a few months ago. Claude’s wife bid on the trip and was the winning bidder. The couple visits the casino quite often and plan on coming back like they always do.
