Harrah’s Cherokee Casino to build Asian Gaming Room
Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel and Casino is undergoing a massive expansion project which began in 2009. The project is still in process and is not expected to be finished until 2012. The project is costing $600 million and includes a new casino area with an Asian gaming room.The new casino area should be ready in May with an earth/water theme and it will have 750 additional games and a new full service bar and a non-smoking restaurant. By June another 1,000 games are set to be added as well.
The casino is also looking to cater to Asian gamblers. The casino is going to add a special Asian gaming room which will feature Pai Gow poker, baccarat and house a nearby noodle bar. The hotel will also be expanded to a 21 story high rise and it will house glassed in luxury suites that are up to 2,000 square feet in size.
