The Cannery Casino Resort located in Las Vegas, Nevada recently announced that one of their gamblers earned a large win from the EZ Pai Gow Poker table game. The lucky player’s prize was so large that it was the biggest ever paid out on the game at the casino.

Chastine M. was playing the EZ Pai Gow Poker game at the casino for about an hour before she landed the $172,929 jackpot. The lucky player won the jackpot because she posted the progressive side bet, which gave her the opportunity to win the large progressive prize.

The Pai Gow Poker game at the Cannery is a special game because it is a no-commission game. This means the casino does not charge a commission on the game. Most casinos charge around five percent commission on the progressive pai gow game but the Cannery decided last March to change the games to a No Commission version.

Marty Gross the general manager and vice president of the casino commented on Chastine’s win as well as the no-commission gaming option by stating: “Chastine’s payday is an example of a player who not only won a large jackpot, but also did not have to pay a commission on her winnings, as she would have at most casinos in town. The way we see it, players deserve to take home ALL their winnings and we believe the player will decide not to play anywhere else.”

This was the second time Chastine had visited the Las Vegas casino and she decided to play the Progressive EZ Pai Gow poker game on this visit. The decision turned out to be a good one because in less than one hour, the gambler was able to earn the large prize after being dealt a seven card straight flush.
